Dry, elegant and fragrant. Hints of peach and redcurrant with a crystal clean and gently mineral and savoury overtone. A stylish and versatile rose.
90% Grenache Gris, 10% Carignan
Made from predominantly pale-skinned Grenache Gris from 10 to 20 year-old vines, traditional southern “pressurage direct” is used to create a very pale rosé; grapes are pressed slowly and rather than a short maceration with skins as is usual in rosé, the juice is run-off without time in contact with the skins.
Château l’Ermitage was founded in the XIth Century by the hermits of Sainte Cécile d’Estagel Abbay. It is situated on the pilgrimage route of Santiago de Compostella. The estate’s total surface covers 80 hectares of sunny south facing vineyards, which benefit from the airy Mediterranean climate.
